Frequently Asked Questions

Here are the questions we hear most often.

  • What is the admission process?

All programs are full through July 2026. To join our waiting list, please click here.

  • What is the cut-off age for enrollment?

Our Early Childhood/Kindergarten (ECK) program is open to children between 3 – 6 years old. To be eligible, children must be fully toilet trained and demonstrate developmental readiness, including the ability to heathily separate from parents/caregivers.

Our Lower Elementary (LE) program serves children ages 6-9 (grades 1-3).

  • What is the toilet training policy?

Children must be fully toilet trained in order to be eligible for the ECK Program (ages 3-6). Diapering a classroom of children requires significant time and extra hygienic care. Children need to be able to communicate toileting needs in order to be ready for a sustained learning environment, so that both children and teachers can focus on the learning taking place in the classroom.

  • Do you offer rolling admissions?

Yes. We offer admission year-round when seats are available. If our program is full, you are welcome to join our waitlist.

  • Do you offer a sibling discount?

LVMS is a small, private school. Tuition covers 100% of the school's budget. For this reason, we apologize that we are unable to offer sibling discounts at this time.

  • Do you offer financial aid?

LVMS is a small, private school. Tuition covers 100% of the school's operational budget. For this reason, we apologize that are unable to offer financial aid at this time.

  • What does LVMS look for when considering a family to be a good “fit?”

At LVMS, we work hard to support each child's holistic development. We view the inner life of a child (psychological and spiritual health) as equally - if not more - important than his/her academic learning. We support each child in developing a healthy sense of self, a deep love for Allah and His Messenger (PBUH), and a love of learning that will last a lifetime. To achieve this, a solid partnernship between our school team and families is very important. The families who benefit most from what we have to offer understand the key principles of the Montessori approach and its alignment with Islam. Such families create home environments, structures, and routines that reflect those principles. They reinforce not just the academic content we teach, but more importantly, the principles of adab, independence, and responsibility we expect our students to practice daily.

For the founders and administrators of Lehigh Valley Montessori School, LVMS is an act of faith. Our Statement of Faith, which must be signed by all Muslim employees, reflects our institution’s core values, whose foundation is Sunni Islam. All members of the LVMS community, whether Muslim or not, are also required to abide by our Code of Ethics. This Code is drawn from the teachings of Islam, but it reflects the universal values of ethical conduct shared by Islam, Christianity, and Judaism. Because our efforts are a service to the whole community, we accept students from families of any faith or any sect of Islam. We strive to build a supportive community of families, where parents are active and empowered members in the rearing of their children.

  • Can I tour LVMS?

Tours are scheduled by the Director only when a seat becomes available and you are next on our waiting list. We understand the desire to visit a school in which you are interested in enrolling your child. However, we have a small school staff and our priority is first and foremost to the children in our care.  Tours cause disruption to children's focus and learning. Thoughtful preparations are made prior to tours in order to ensure our students are not affected by the presence of visitors.

PLEASE NOTE: LVMS is located on a private property.  Unscheduled visits and trespassing are not permitted. We thank you in advance for respecting our school community.

"Lehigh Valley Montessori has been an immense blessing for our daughter. The school environment supported her growth in many ways, and allowed her to thrive within her element. She is extremely aware of her responsibilities within the class and always strives to maintain a proper image, which is a delight to see!! We are truly grateful to be part of the Lehigh Valley Montessouri family and pray for its continuous growth."
